The Indonesian Government to Finalize Incentive Scheme for Electric Vehicles

The Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadwa and the Minister of Coordinating Economic Sector Airlangga Hartarto stated that the Indonesian government is currently finalizing the incentive scheme for electric vehicles aimed at 500,000 electric motorcycles and electric cars. On the other side, there will be no additional incentives provided for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) as the sales of hybrid cars from the factory to dealers or wholesales have reached 42,366 units in the January-June 2026 period.
