President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that the construction of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan will start to show progresses in January during his visit to the infrastructure construction site in North Panajem Paser Regency, East Kalimantan. In this visit, Jokowi took the sea lane which is aimed to be the logistical access to IKN as well as for public transportation. The president is also confident that the Indonesian Independence Day Celebration on 17^th August 2024 can be held in IKN.
