The construction of Nusantara Capital City (IKN) mega project is targeted to be completed entirely by 2045 or 22 years from now, coinciding with the centenary of Indonesia's independence. Currently, the construction progress of the First Phase of IKN basic infrastructure has reached 38.1% with all of the construction activities on schedule. As of now, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing has started the second phase of IKN construction project.
