The Public Work and Public Housing Ministry (PUPR) will soon operate the 131.48 km Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road after conducting the feasibility test (ULF) on Section 2 Minas-kandis Selatan until Section 6 Duri Utara-Dumai. Currently, the physical progress has reached 99.07%. The toll road is aimed to increase connectivity between the capital of Riau Province and Dumai City as a port city with the advanced oil industry and agribusiness to support the economic activity in Sumatra.
