President Prabowo Subianto aims to establish a special economic zone (SEZ) in every province across Indonesia to strengthen the country's economic foundations. He stated that this initiative is part of the government’s broader plan to develop an industry-based economy nationwide. According to him, the operation of the Batang SEZ has shown progress, with 20 companies joining the zone. Of these, seven are already operational, seven are under construction, and six are in the planning stage.
