According to Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI), the opportunity loss from the hotel and restaurant business sector in 2020 caused by the pandemic reaches Rp50 trillion, calculated from the hotel occupancies with the total of 800,000 rooms in Indonesia. PHRI is optimistic that the hotel sector will recover this year with a 40% occupancy rate or higher than the average national rate last year at 30%.
