The Minister of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) stated that the construction of Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road to be completed in April 2020. Currently, the 9.5 km-Section 1 of Pekanbaru-Minas toll road progress has reached 97.2% for construction and 100% for land acquisition and is estimated to be operational for the coming Eid al Ftr holiday. The toll project comprises of six sections with investment value of Rp16.21 trillion.
