The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) added four new sea tolls, totaling to 30 routes in 2021, comprising 106 ports (including 9 base ports and 97 transit ports). The additional routes are expected to increase goods distribution and economic developments in remote regions and undeveloped areas and to lower the price disparity between Indonesia’s western and eastern regions.
