The National Strategic Projects Meeting headed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has decided to continue most of the projects. Furthermore, the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train project extension to Surabaya has been approved which will greatly increase employment rate. The Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train project will be fused with Jakarta-Surabaya High Speed Train project which means the Indonesia China High Speed Train Consortium (PT KCIC) will be merged with the Japanese Consortium.
