Indonesia's Economic Growth May Grow Less than 5%

Wednesday, 8 October 2025

The World Bank projected Indonesia’s economy to grow by 4.8% yoy in 2026, increased from the April 2025 projection of 4.7% yoy. Meanwhile, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) cut its projections from 5% (April) to 4.9% (September) in 2025. IMF also revised its projection to 4.7% yoy. The slow down in growth was driven by the uncertainty in the global market due to the effect of high reciprocal tariff implemented by the United States which affect the developing economies in Asia and Pacific.
