Indonesia-Singapore Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) has been ratified and it is expected to boost the investment flow for both countries by 18% and 22%, respectively over the next five years. The treaty provides greater legal certainty to Indonesian and Singaporean investors who invest in each country by ensuring a protection from discriminatory treatments and illegal expropriations. This deal will also help to realize the US$200 billion worth of investment each year in the region by 2030.
