The Nusantara Capital City’s (IKN) Infrastructure Development Task Force will construct an immersed tunnel to cross Balikpapan Bay in Nusantara in an effort to protect the natural life in the surrounding environment. Currently, the project is under feasibility study to determine the best alternative route of the tunnel and to continue with the basic design by this year to be able to start the construction in 2023
