Government to Limit Tax Revenue Shortfall Expansion

The Ministry of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa announced that the tax revenue shortfall in 2025 may expand. However, the government will continue its effort to limit the State Budget deficit in the 2025 semester outlook set at 2.78% from the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) due to the shortfall as this shortfall level remains dynamic as there are some non-tax revenues to be included in the State Budget. As of October 2025, realized tax revenue has reached Rp1,459 trillion or 70.2% from the 2025 semester outlook report of Rp2,076.9 trillion.
