Government Plans for Transit Oriented Development in Kota Tua Area

The Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung inspected the Kota Tua area on Thursday (18th October) in the development Transit Oriented Project (TOD) in the area. The central government also supports this development plan as several buildings in the area are owned by the State-Owned Enterprises. In the first phase of the development in 2026, the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta will improve the basic infrastructure facilities in the area, including roads, rivers, and the pedestrian areas. Specifically, the MRT project in this area is aimed to be completed in 2029.
