The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) accelerate the development of Brebes Industrial Estate (KI Brebes) as an  effort to boost development in Central Java and national economic growth and aimed to be the relocation area for American companies from China due to escalating trade war between the United States and China. KI Brebes is aimed to be the core industry for textile industry sector and textile products, leather and footwear industry, food and beverages industry, furniture industry and the pharmaceutical and health equipment industry.
