The construction of Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road which currently is entering the last stage will connect Balikpapan City with the Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman (SAMS) International Airport through Section V Sepinggan-Balikpapan Toll Lane of 11.09 kilometers in length. In total, the toll project is divided in to five sections with the total length of 97.99 kilometers. The toll access is expected to have a positive multiplier effect to East Kalimantan economic growth.
