An integrated port for logistics and fishery in Ambon Island is projected to be the largest port in the eastern Indonesia region as well as the center for a new economy. According to the plan, the port will reside on a total land area of approximately 717 hectares with the development cost of Rp2 trillion and the initial operation planned for 2023. The project will be funded by the State Budget, involving private enterprises.
