Unilever Global Value Chain to Ground Break in KEK Sei Mengkei, North Sumatra

Unilever Global to make Sei Mangkei Special Economic Zone (KEK) the only global value chain in North Sumatra with the groundbreaking planned in August 2026. Located in Simalungun Regency, the KEK which was established in 2012 has realized a cumulative investment value of Rp31.8 trillion and absorbed 14,689 workers as of the first quarter of 2026, strengthening its role as one of the growing center of downstream-based industry in Indonesia with excellence logistics to support export and global supply chain activities.
