In the past five years, the number of industrial estates have grown by 51.25% with the total land area increasing by 47% or equal to 17,000 hectares. As of August 2020, there were 121 industrials estates in Indonesia with 14 industrial estates outside of Java Island, accounting for more than 9 hectares of land area. Based on the data from the Industrial Estate Association (HKI) in 2019, the foreign investment realization came from 42 companies with 371.11 hectares of land area requirement while domestic investment realization came from 35 companies with 50.27 hectares of land area requirement.
