As of January 2026, Indonesia’s fiscal deficit was recorded at Rp54.6 trillion or equal to 9.21% of the Gross Regional Product (GDP) and 7.9% of the State Budget limit (APBN). The government set the expenditure at Rp809 trillion for 2026 with realization in January 2026 recorded at Rp227.3 trillion or increased by 25.7% yoy or 5.9% of the APBN limit. Meanwhile, state revenue was recorded at Rp172.7 trillion or increased by 9.8% yoy which is equal to 5.5% of the target in APBN.
