The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) aimed to complete the construction of Solo-Semarang Double-Rail Train Phase 1 Solo Balapan – Kalioso Segment by 2023, which will be the longest elevated railway in Indonesia. The project which will span a total of 10 kilometers spoor (Km’sp) will have 1.8 Km’sp elevated rail and it is aimed to ease traffic congestion along the level crossing of Joglo, Solo, Central Java.
