The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) announced that Banggai Laut Airport, developed in Banggai Laut Regency, Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) will soon be inaugurated by President Joko Widodo. This project was started in 2019 and is planned to be operational in the third quarter of 2024. The airport’s terminal with a total land area of 1,400 square meters is projected to serve up to 39,000 passengers annually.
