Jakarta Velodrome-Manggarai LRT to Start Operate in August 2026

The Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) Phase IB on the Velodrome–Manggarai route is targeted to operate starting from August 2026. Currently, the construction progress has reached 89.22% as of December 2025. The route spans a total of 6.4 kilometers, comprising five stations with the potential users to serve 50,000-70,000 passengers daily, as stated in its feasibility study. This route is estimated to reduce the traveling time to 26 minutes from Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta to the center of Jakarta.
