The Indonesian government will soon start the Waste to Energy (PSEL) project in 34 locations across Indonesia in early 2026. The project is aimed at regions with more than 1,000 tons of waste generated per day to solve the environmental crisis as well as to strengthen the national energy security. PSEL is one of the 18 downstream strategic projects scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2026 with the total investment value reaching Rp600 trillion.
