Indonesia to Build 7 New Airports in Remote Areas Next Year

The Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi stated that there will be seven new airports in remote areas in Indonesia to be developed by the Ministry of Transportation in 2021. In addition, the government will also focus on the completion of Greater Jakarta LRT project. The seven airports comprises Bantu Kunik Airport in Tana Toraja, Haji Muhamad Sidik Airport in Muara Taweh, Tambelan Airport in Bintan, Siau Airport in North Sulawesi, Pantar Airport in Alor, Tabelian Airport in Sintang and Kuabang Kao Airport in North Halmahera.
