Indonesia Realizes Rp353 Trillion Investment from Special Economic Zones as of 1Q-2026

From 2012 until the first quarter of 2026, Special Economic Zones (KEK) in Indonesia recorded the total realized investment reaching Rp353 trillion, or US$9.7 billion and claimed to have absorbed 260,000 workers. These realizations came from 47 business entities operating in 25 KEK locations. The government is confident that this condition reflects high investment demand in the KEK areas, specifically in the manufacturing-based business sector with the potential to reached Rp846 trillion in next few years.
