The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto reported that household consumption remained as the main driver of Indonesia’s economy. In the second quarter of 2026, household consumption grew by 5.06% and contributed 53.32% to the Gross Domestic Product. Consumer optimism was also maintained with consumer confidence index reached 116.8 until July 2026. Indonesian government also aimed to achieve 6% economic growth by the end of this year and to maintain this growth at 6% until next year.
