Government Plans to Expand Value Added Tax Sources

The Tax Directorate General (DJP) of the Ministry of finance included the plan to collect Value Added Tax (PPN) from toll road services in the 2025-2029 Strategic Plans under the Financial Ministry Regulation Draft (RPMK) regarding the Tax Bases Expansion Regarding Fairer Tax Collection. In addition to this plan, RPMK also included the policies on carbon tax and international digital transaction tax. These plans arose amidst governments limitation in collecting tax.
