Government Aims for 8% Economic Growth in Q2-2021

The government projects that Indonesia’s economy in the second quarter can reach 8% after a 0.74% contraction in the first quarter due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This projection can be seen from a number of indicators, including over 100% recovery in the consumer’s confidence index, 9.8% (yoy) growth in retail sales and the 60.43% growth in national expenses as of the end of April.
