The government, through the Ministry of Public Works, accelerates the development of Gilimanuk–Mengwi toll road project in Bali as the long term solution for congestion and to increase the connectivity in the tourism hot spot. The project, which spans the total of 96,84 kilometers, is estimated to require Rp2.7 trillion and to be completed under Private Public Partnership (KPBU) scheme. The bidding process is estimated to start in 2027 and the project to operate in 2031.
