GDP Forecast May Exceed 6% in Q2-2021

The Finance Minister, the Central Bank of Indonesia (BI) and the Coordinating Economic Minister announced the forecast for Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to grow between 6.5% and 8.3% (yoy) in the second quarter of this year, indicating the first annual GDP growth since the Covid-19 pandemic. The forecast is supported by the rising in export, investment, fiscal spending, monetary stimulus, government spending and consumption.
