DKI Jakarta Realizes Lower Tax Revenue from Property in 2025

The Head of DKI Jakarta Region Revenue Agency (Bapenda) Lusiana Herwati stated that the region tax revenue from Land and Building Rights Ownership Duty (BPHTB) only reached 57.98% realization or at Rp6.01 trillion from the targeted Rp10.37 trillion for 2025. This achievement was lower than other tax revenue sources which reached higher than 70% to 100%. This decline was driven by low property transactions in 2025 which then prompted developers to shift their business scheme from sales to lease.
