BI: Records Bank Loan Growth at 9.98% in April 2026

The Bank of Indonesia (BI) recorded bank loan grew at 9.98% yoy in April 2026, increasing from 9.49% in March 2026. This growth was driven by investment loan, working capital loan, and consumption loan which in April grew by 9.48%, 6.04%, and 6.13% yoy, respectively. BI also estimated that loan growth in 2026 will remain in the 8% to 12% range. BI will continue to strengthen its macro prudential policies in synergy with the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) to protect national financial system stability.
