BI is Optimistic Rupiah Will Remain Stable

The Bank of Indonesia (BI) ensures that Rupiah’s exchange rate is well maintained despite the previous depreciation to Rp17,500 per US Dollar. The previous depreciation was mostly due to global pressures, specifically from the Middle East conflict and US Dollar appreciation. Moreover, BI is optimistic that Rupiah will remain stable in the appreciation trend driven by the continuing stabilization efforts, including the seven strengthening strategies to maintain stable exchange rate and active intervention in the domestic and global markets.
