The Bank of Indonesia (BI) gradually reduced the outstanding amount of Bank of Indonesia Rupiah Securities (SRBI) to increase liquidity space for the banking sector with the expectation to strengthen credit channeling to the real sector. As of 21 April 2025, the outstanding SRBI was at Rp881.86 trillion, declining by Rp41.67 trillion from Rp923.53 trillion in December 2024.
