Given the national high expenditure and a decline in revenue target, it resulted a deficit of 5.7% from the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the 2021 state budget.  The total deficit in 2021 Stage Budget Draft was driven by several aspects, including the increase of Rp35.2 trillion in the funding allocation and expenditure adjustment. The government is committed to maintain deficit at 5.7%. A stricter policy and budget refocus will follow any changes in revenue streams.
