WMIP dilengkapi dengan pasokan gas alam dari Laut Natuna yang terhubung dengan pipa West Natuna Transportation System (WNTS). Selain itu, kawasan ini dapat ditempuh dalam waktu sekitar 30 menit dari Kota Batam, dekat dengan Pelabuhan Sekupang, dan 3 mil dari Selat Malaka.
